An arrest warrant has been issued for a 28-year-old Mankato man initially arrested in September for an August theft from a donation box at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato.

Mankato Police say Jacob Guyette was charged with burglary, theft, property damage, and possession of burglary tools after he was identified using surveillance video using a tool to break the lock on the box. However, a summons to appear in court that was mailed to Guyette was returned as “undeliverable.”

The most serious of the charges, third-degree burglary, can mean up to five years in prison if Guyette is convicted.

Church officials said there was eight dollars in the donation box.
