April is Testicular Cancer Awareness month,
a great reminder for you to
CHECK YOUR BOYS!
I know, maybe this a little weird since this is a taboo topic, but I know from experience how hard it is to watch a friend or family member go through cancer.. and trust me, it is one of the hardest things that someone can go through.
So catch it early.
HOW DO I CHECK MYSELF?
Well, if you are unsure go to this link: http://www.testicularcancersociety.org/testicular-self-exam.html
In case that doesn’t work, here is a quick visual.
If you don’t think this is serious well, here are some hard facts.
Testicular Cancer is the MOST common form of cancer in men ages 15-35.
In the U.S. about 8850 men are diagnosed a year and 410 die from it.
That is enough for every hour of everyday, some poor fellow hears, “You have testicular cancer”
It is one of the most treatable cancers, especially if caught early.
Men themselves, not doctors, usually find the testicular cancer. This is why it’s so important to have regular self exams!
Are you a man? Then self exam!!
