A Mankato man is facing charges after police found him after a December hit-and-run crash near Victory Drive and Fair Street passed out on the floor of his home with his head resting on a garbage can.
Mankato Police say 68-year-old John Anderson was traveling the wrong direction on the northbound side of Victory Drive when his pickup hit another vehicle. The victim told investigators that the truck then pulled into a driveway on Plainview Avenue.
Officers found Anderson passed out in the home and say he was so intoxicated they could not have him perform field sobriety tests because he was unable to walk or stand without help. A blood test showed his BAC at .240.
Anderson is charged with two counts of drunk driving and one charge of leaving the scene of a crash.
