Minnesota lawmakers today (Wed) are remembering Conservation Officer Eugene Wynn, who died Friday in the line of duty:

Officer Wynn was investigating a report of a possible body on Cross Lake in Pine City when he and a sheriff’s deputy were thrown from their boat into the water. The deputy was rescued but Officer Wynn apparently drowned. Senator Jason Rarick from Pine City says:

“He was well-known and well-liked in the community, a fair officer who served with dignity and pride, and represented his brothers and sisters in green well.”

Visitation and funeral services are Friday in Pine City.
