“Any type of suppression… will certainly not be tolerated” — says Governor Tim Walz after a Star Tribune report that a state Human Services Department official was retaliated against, after she raised concerns about the legality of contracts at the agency. The governor said today (Tues) he’ll first make sure those reports are accurate — but:

“My message to all Minnesotans, especially those working and doing public service, is that you are encouraged and will be protected to speak up.”

The latest report is another in a series of top management upheavals and turmoil at Minnesota’s largest state agency.
