The executive director of the Minnesota Licensed Beverages Association is asking for customers’ cooperation in complying with COVID-19 restrictions. Tony Chesak says people need to put compliance over politics.
“We’re asking customers to be understanding and to take political beliefs out of the equation,” said Chesak. “We’re asking customers to walk in with masks and to follow social distancing. If customers do their part, and we do our part, we think we can continue to turn the dial forward instead of potentially turning it backward.”
Chesak says if customers don’t, some of their favorite places won’t be around.
“If there continue to be these hot spots across the state, we fear the Governor will turn the dial back”, said Chesak. “And as independent operators, we can’t afford to have that happen.”
Chesak says following the guidelines will get bars and restaurants back to 100 percent sooner.
