A Northfield woman was killed Saturday morning after driving into a construction zone and hitting a hole in the road. The Minnesota State Patrol says around quarter to eight, a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Michelle Burwell was westbound on Highway 99 in Le Sueur County, drove into the construction zone, and into the hole in the road. Authorities say Burwell was not wearing a seatbelt.
