(Washington, DC)  —  Police reform appears to be dead in Congress, for now.  White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki called the collapse of negotiations between Democrats and Republicans very disappointing.  Police reform is one of President Biden’s top priorities.  Calls for serious police reforms grew after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.  The unarmed black man suffocated while in police custody.  New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker released a statement saying — “After months of exhausting every possible pathway to a bipartisan deal, it remains out of reach right now.”
