(Albert Lea, MN) — An Albert Lea bar owner is facing sentencing after being convicted of six COVID mandate violations. A jury deliberated for only an hour before convicting 57-year-old Lisa Hanson after a three day trial. Hanson refused to close her establishment last winter during a mandatory shutdown order related to the pandemic. Hanson argued during her trial that Governor Tim Walz’ executive orders authorizing the shutdown were unconstitutional.
