The Minnesota Twins are just 81 days away from throwing their first pitch of spring training 2019 and you can already get your tickets to join in the fun. Twins spokesman Dustin Morse said, "Spring training is a great time, it's adult spring break I like to say. People are down there having a good time enjoying the palm trees, sunshine, the green grass, and of course, baseball." He added that baseball is the perfect antidote to the winter gloom come February and, "We're trying to shorten that up by encouraging people to go down and enjoy some warm weather, enjoy [...]
Minnesota State University, Mankato students will vote Tuesday on a $10 student fee increase per semester to help fund a new $4 million seasonal sports dome. The second weekend of the Kiwanis Holiday Lights brought in fewer people than in the past, but the heavy snowfall could be to blame. Scott Wojick says there’s still plenty of reasons to come and check out the million-plus lights display, even if you’ve been there before. Wojick also recommends for locals to come during the week days when the lines might not be as long.
