By |2020-07-23T09:46:24-05:00July 23rd, 2020|

Some are calling it the holy grail of rock and roll finds.  The Rolling Stones, with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin guesting on lead guitar.  The Stones are releasing a multi-format, deluxe issue of their 1973 classic album, "Goats Head Soup" on September 4th.  They'll include this song, "Scarlet", as one of the ten bonus tracks.  Keith believes that he walked into a recording studio as Zeppelin was wrapping up.  The Stones were booked next, so Page stuck around.  Keith says the song was just a demo, but it came out good. Paul Rodgers Shares A Heartwarming Pic, But Sadly It’s Fake

By |2020-07-15T09:24:09-05:00July 15th, 2020|

Bad Company lead singer, Paul Rodgers, has posted a photo we can all learn a lesson from. It’s of an elephant cradling a lion cub in its trunk, protecting it from the hot sands of the desert. Paul writes, “It’s a great lesson for mankind who are fighting and dying for no reason.” It really is a great picture, and we wish it were true but the photo is a fake.  Yeah, we're bummed it isn't real, too.  Oh well.  It's still a great picture and there IS still good in this world and among the animal kingdom.  -Jay   I have always [...]

I'm not much of a race fan - or NASCAR fan - but I've watched the Daytona 500 every year since I was a kid because there's always something truly special about that race. The Daytona was postponed from the day before due to heavy rains, so they picked it back up yesterday afternoon.  Here's video of the crash that happened in the final lap. Driver Ryan Newman is in serious condition with non life-threatening injuries. https://youtu.be/-G21IuY9Brw

Who Ya Got… To Win The Big Game?

By |2020-01-28T11:09:08-06:00January 28th, 2020|

Will it be the Chiefs, who haven't been there in 50 years?  Or will it be the 49ers, who have stunk in 5 of the last 6 seasons?  If you've done a search of who others think will win The Big Game this weekend, it seems everyone and every so-called "expert" has the answer.  Some of the staff got an email from Bruce, our GM here at Radio Mankato, with this chart and synopsis.  I thought this was interesting and a bit surprising in some areas. Here are some of the findings: Based on the results, MN is rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs.  [...]
