Olympic Gold Medalist Curler John Landsteiner to Headline United Way Men’s Event

A night as good as gold. Greater Mankato Area United Way will host its fifth annual Men’s Event from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 at the Kato Ballroom to benefit its partner programs throughout the region.
This year’s event features Olympic Gold Medalist John Landsteiner as keynote speaker. The Mapleton native will share his Olympic story and demonstrate curling on artificial ice. Attendees will be invited to try out curling throughout the night.
The Men’s Event welcomes regional men ages 21+ to enjoy a casual night of fun, fellowship and games to benefit United Way programs and raise awareness of United Way’s work to improve lives in our region.
The event includes food and beverage samples from local vendors, competitive games (golf, darts, etc), prize raffles, silent auction, meat raffle and more. $1,700 in Scheels gift cards will also be awarded.
Tickets will go on sale next week at www.MankatoUnitedWay.org/MensEvent. $65 for individual tickets.
Last year, the Men’s Event welcomed more than 300 attendees.
