(Minneapolis, MN) — A Minnesota man is appearing in court today at 11 a.m. for a detention hearing as he’s accused of falsely claiming to be a federal agent. In a federal complaint, authorities say 52-year-old Reyel Simmons repeatedly pretended to be a federal agent online, especially on TikTok. Witnesses say he carries a handgun, a badge and other law enforcement credentials. Simmons has a criminal history of impersonating an officer. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the FBI.
