A Mankato woman who worked as a security counselor with the Minnesota Sex Offender Treatment Program in St. Peter is facing criminal sexual conduct charges after being accused of having sex with an unidentified patient the criminal complaint labels a, “Sexually psychopathic personality.”

Investigators say 57-year-old Claudia Kogo met the patient in 2016 and what began as flirting and innuendo led to intercourse.

When St. Peter Police questioned Kongo last summer they say she exercised her right to remain silent but further investigation turned up hundreds of phone calls between the two. They add that recordings of some of those calls included descriptions of their sexual activity.

She is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct and officials say Kogo no longer works at the security hospital.
