Account Executive

Radio Mankato is looking to augment its revenue team with motivated Account Executive type people.  Here’s just a few of the requirements; self-manager, goal oriented, knowledge of or ability to work in a B2B position, detail oriented and ready to grow.

Normally, AE’s work M-F, 8a-5p, but occasionally there will be evening or weekend activities for special events and client support and service.

This position requires working with local businesses to grow their respective business through increased sales, traffic or services.  We’re dedicated to having AE’s who can develop, nourish and maintain solid client relationships while helping them build and execute a comprehensive marketing plan, on-air and on-line in the digital realm.

Sales Manager Position


Position Summary: Plan and direct the sales activities in the Market. Meet and exceed revenue goals by developing sales staff, creating a sales strategy designed to achieve company goals, and building a customer-focused sales culture and continually orienting the organization toward growth while working collaboratively with all Department Heads.


· Minimum 2 Years of Management Experience (Sales Management Preferred)

· Minimum 7 Years of Sales Experience

· Successful Track Record

· Understanding how radio works and can be used to maximize client’s budget

· Believing in the effectiveness of Radio Advertising

· Be a leader and a coach to the Sales Staff

· Goal Oriented and able to perform under pressure

· Keep Sales staff accountable and focus on weekly, monthly, and yearly goals

· Self-motivated

· Innovative

· Levelheaded; can keep their composure under pressure

· Involved in the local business community

· Understand marketing and able to perform strategy meetings with clients

· Being a Digital Expert and grow Digital Revenue year over year

· Understand how to use, teach, and perform Digital Strategy meetings with clients

· Being capable to hire and train a salesperson at a moment’s notice

· Available and present

· Involved in Radio Station’s events

· Able to provide references upon request
